Responding to London Mayor Sadiq Khan’s announcement that bus and tram fares in the capital will be frozen until July 2026, and travelcards and daily and weekly caps frozen too, Ben Plowden, Chief Executive of Campaign for Better Transport, said:
“Prioritising the affordability of public transport wherever possible is essential, given the pressures on household budgets. Everyone in the capital should be able to stay connected and access opportunities. This is good news for the millions of Londoners who rely on buses and trams, as well as for visitors.”
