Join us for Armed Forces Day commemoration
An event to commemorate Armed Forces Day will take place on Sunday 23 June in Enfield. We would like to invite you to join us to show your support for all those in the Armed Forces community. A parade will begin at 9.30am from Enfield Chase War Memorial (Chase Side, EN2 6SG) to Enfield Civic Centre and will include veterans from the Royal British Legion, Sea Scouts, Air Cadets, St John Ambulance, Police, Fire and Ambulance services with music from Stow Caledonian Pipe Band. Enfield Climate Action Plan 2024 launch event
London Climate Action Week takes place from 22 to 30 June and Enfield Council is hosting a special event to launch the second edition of Enfield’s Climate Action Plan 2024. Residents of all ages are invited to Edmonton Green Library on 22 June, from 11am to 3pm. From educational workshops on sustainability to fun bike repair sessions with Dr Bike, there will be activities around energy, recycling, food growing, active travel, and more. Chroma: A season of Pride at Dugdale Arts Centre
Join us for Chroma, a season of fun-filled events at Dugdale Arts Centre (DAC) to celebrate Pride Month and Enfield’s LGBTQ+ community. From Welcome to our World, a photography exhibition spotlighting Enfield’s colourful drag scene, to a special screening of Moonlight, the first LGBTQ film to win Best Picture at the Academy Awards, the DAC will explore the rich history and achievements of the LGBTQ+ community. Enfield Council bestows highest honour on community leaders
The Mayor of Enfield, Cllr Mohammad Islam, awarded Christine Hamilton JP, Glynis Vince and Terry Neville OBE JP the Honorary Freedom of the London Borough of Enfield. A ceremony was held on 19 June during a special Full Council meeting at the Civic Centre. The award recognises their long and valuable service to the community in Enfield, alongside their outstanding contribution to the borough. The Freedom of the Borough is the highest honour the Council can bestow. Congratulations to Christine, Terry and Glyni
