Most schools in Enfield rated ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted

All secondary schools, including academies, and all special schools, in Enfield have been awarded at least a ‘Good’ rating in the four key areas assessed by Ofsted Inspectors.

The four key areas are: Quality of Education, Personal Development, Behaviour and Attitudes, and Leadership and Management. The Ofsted inspection uses these key areas from the framework to assess a school’s performance in each category during a graded inspection.

Overall, 98% of the schools in Enfield are rated as at least ‘Good’ in the four main areas. This places schools in Enfield in a desirable position, showcasing their commitment to excellence in education.

Ofsted no longer gives an official overall grade, but many schools in Enfield have been graded as ‘Outstanding’ in two, three or four of those areas.

Next year, Ofsted is planning to introduce a report card system for all schools.

The latest school to mark this achievement in Enfield was Laurel Park School, which was awarded ‘Good’ in November 2024 across all subcategories.
